GCN uses United Nations Transparency Protocol (UNTP) data architecture for verifiable data traceability and global machine readable interoperability. Consolidates global Standards and certification to ensure trusted data exchange across local and global value chains.

1. Upstream — the Brand/ DPP Issuer creates the DPP, collecting verifiable data from mills, trims suppliers and manufacturers to add alongside conformity credentials including Substances of Concern.
   
   QR Codes. Each unique identifier creates a PRODUCT ID for brands to share with customers via QR Code (or NFC) and swing tags. 

2. Consumer Privacy Mode — at first sale and any time its with a consumer, the tag goes dark. No personal or purchase data is ever able to be collected.

3. Authenticate — a physical chip-level identifier checked against GCN's own records catches copied tags that a printed QR code architecturally cannot. Instant free authentication for EPR providers.

4. Downstream — take-back, resale, rental, repair, redesign and reuse partners add to the record as the product moves through second, third and later lives.

5. Sorting — sorters grade the item, check for Substances of Concern flags, and record the diversion outcome.

6. End-of-Life — recycling and remanufacturing routing is captured and the record closes out. 

7. Diversion data - A unique Diversion Data DPP is created per shipment/batch — accumulates upstream evidence (textile type, chemical content) plus weight of the textiles, RFID-tagged for sending to the EOL operator, supports shipment data and certification of next-gen products - captures batch data for end-of-life evidence for Brands to share Circular Metrics via Circular Stories and redistribute Circular Rewards.
