Add + collect new data at-scale. Circular by design; capture strategies and EPR systems from the get-go, verifiable supply chain and reverse logistics value chain traceability, instant authentication, EPR then recycling for efficient full compliance reporting.
A product's digital record moves through six stages as the item moves through its physical life:
Upstream — the DPP Issuer creates the product record; mills, trims suppliers and manufacturers contribute production data and conformity credentials including Substances of Concern, as the item is made.
QR Codes. Each unique identifier creates a PRODUCT ID for brands to share with customers via QR Code (or NFC) and swing tags.
Consumer Privacy Mode — at first sale, the tag's identifier is hidden. It stays hidden for as long as the consumer owns the product.
Authenticate — the tag is checked against its record to confirm it's the genuine, original item. IINSTANT FREE AUTHENTICATION
A physical chip-level identifier checked against GCN's own records catches copied tags that a printed QR code architecturally cannot.
Downstream — take-back, repair, resale and rental partners add to the record as the product moves through its second, third and later lives.
Sorting — sorters grade the item, check for Substances of Concern flags, and record the sorting outcome.
End-of-Life Recycling — the record closes out the product's working life, and recycling routing is captured against it.
Use GCN's interlinked smart system to divert valuable textiles from landfill, meet emissions targets, regulations and recover ROI.
APIs - SEAMLESS INTEGRATION ACROSS INDUSTRIES
Brands and businesses can integrate existing SCM, internal and external platforms via secure API 'digital bridges'.
Platform and Infrastructure Links - Access via API "digital bridges" for Supply Chain Management, LCA, ESG third party platforms and IoT, robotics, AI systems, sorters, recyclers, transport, logistics, municipalities, robotics etc.
GCN works alongside your existing GS1 GTIN — it doesn't replace, issue or validate it. GS-1 Standards enables connection across global value chains including transporters, logistics providers and software partners.
The platform is designed to connect with Open Supply Hub data and support interoperability with Open Supply Hub production location identifiers (OS IDs). Each manufacturing facility recorded in Upstream and Downstream can be cross-referenced with its OS ID — a free, globally recognised open identifier that links GCN's product-level data to publicly accessible facility records on an independent, open registry, helping support due diligence, human rights disclosure and supply chain transparency efforts.
As UNTP-aligned infrastructure matures across the industry, OS IDs are positioned to help different systems identify and reference the same production locations more consistently, supporting more efficient due diligence.
Brands link customers to their website and third-party B2C Customer Passports via single-scan QR Code/NFCs to secure their customer's privacy.
BACKGROUND
GCN platform efficiently adds verified upstream supply chain product data to DPPs at scale ⟶ then connects to downstream Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) networks for instant authentication, resource and revenue recovery. Efficiently collects R-CYCLER's data plus increases brand's ROI (resale, rent, repair, redesign, reuse) ⟶ then diverts to bulk sorting, auto detect and divert hazardous chemicals offering certifiable recycling feedstock ⟶ enables efficient, verifiable reporting data; from circular design strategies to repairability, longevity and circularity ⟶ communicates trusted data to customers and regulators.
GCN uses United Nations Transparency Protocol (UNTP) data architecture for verifiable data traceability and global machine readable interoperability. Consolidates global Standards and certification to ensure trusted data exchange across local and global value chains.
Seamlessly connect AI, multi-language training, link SCM/POS to automate returns and deadstock data. Links logistics to scale a data driven collaborative circular economy to meet environmental and social targets, plus upcoming Regulations.
GCN assists brands and regulators with verifiable reporting data for products to travel around a fully traceable circular economy at scale efficiently unlocking and sharing profits through EPR first before recycling.
Brands connect to circular B2B business models with affordable RFID DPPs using accessible Readers.
Use RFID readers/sensors, IoT and robotics to link to an interconnected platform connecting products at-scale plus collaborative third-party platforms for efficient, traceable and compliant circularity, from fibre to feedstock and beyond.
Diverts resources and revenue from landfill to boost jobs and economies, supports social and worker Certifications and provides verifiable data to meet landfill, emissions and pollution mitigation targets.
Policy Alignment - GCN works to efficiently meet the EU Strategy for Sustainable Circular Textiles, Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation, EU Waste Framework Directive and emerging global regulations.
