Introducing The ReDESIGN Network
Connecting fashion brands with the 'centre of circularity'
Discover creativity. Connect with designers. Create bespoke collaborations
Global Circular Network (GCN) is developing the ReDESIGN Network, a B2B matchmaking service connecting fashion and apparel brands with specialist ReDesigners and upcyclers who can transform surplus stock, returns and unwanted garments into new products - to celebrate and capitalise on product longevity and creative collaborations.
Through a visual portfolio directory, brands can discover creative approaches, search by country and design specialism, and connect with ReDesigners whose skills and project capacity suit their needs. An annual brand membership would provide access to full portfolios, contact details, saved favourites, updates on new ReDesigners and opportunities to post or respond to collaboration briefs.
GCN facilitates a bespoke collaboration introduction between brands and ReDesigners. The parties then agree privately on project scope, the transfer of products and materials, transport, costs, intellectual property, production, sales and any commercial or revenue-sharing arrangement.
The ReDESIGN Network aims to celebrate circular design strategies—from designing for longevity and manufacturing for durability from the get-go, to minimising waste and extending product life through creative redesign. It recognises the creativity and ingenuity of all designers while helping brands demonstrate how their products can have a longer, circular life.
Where brands choose to use GCN's RFID DPPs; origional product provenance can be added at the beginning or at the redesign stage alongwith it's next-life circular data - plus link to end-of-life sorters for appropriate remanufacturing or recycling.
The ReDESIGN Network focuses on helping brands meet upcoming regulatory requirements in the EU and California to collect Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) data from local and global downstream providers as evidence of their EPR actions and increase profits from resource and revenue recovery.
The ReDESIGN Network helps brands discover creative partners as circularity and producer-responsibility requirements strengthen.
Optional. Add a RFID DPP. All designers can add a washable, bulk scanning RFID DPP with provenance data and link to downstream providers - until end-of-life - to efficiently capture compliance data for trusted reporting and storytelling.
Explore the GCN website to learn more about DPP tools, platform and our globally interoperable data framework following the United Nations Transparency Protocol (UNTP), allowing for efficient, verifiable regulatory compliance reporting, plus DPP Packages. 3. After viewing the demo, complete the CIRCULAR REWARDS Survey relevant to your role - as a Brand or a Downstream provider - or add your details to the Expression of Interest to sign up to the ReDesign Network.
